financial freedom guide

I know too many women who don't actually know what's in their bank accounts. They trust it's fine. There's a difference.

You're 47, or 52, or somewhere in there.

Your husband "handles" the bank accounts. (Notice the quotes.) You trust that the finances are fine...but if I asked you right now what's in your checking, your savings, your retirement — you couldn't say. Not to the dollar. Not to the thousand. Maybe not even to the ten thousand.

That's not trust. That's silence.

And silence is the most expensive thing a woman can pay for, because silence is what you have instead of freedom.

Here's what I believe.

If a woman has money, she has freedom. If she doesn't, she doesn't.

It's not more complicated than that.

I'm not talking about being rich. I'm talking about knowing. Knowing what's in the accounts. Knowing what's owed. Knowing what's saved. Knowing what year you'll be out of debt. Knowing what would happen if your husband walked out tomorrow, or got hit by a bus, or just stopped being the one who handles it.

I've watched friends' lives get blown up by divorces they didn't see coming, because they didn't know enough about their finances.

Most "money tips for women" content treats finances like a math problem. I'm telling you it's an identity problem. The math is easy once you know how. The hard part is deciding you get to know.

I didn't make this guide up. I translated it.

Here's the part most sales pages won't tell you. The framework inside this guide isn't mine. It's the financial system my husband's longtime business and life coach taught us at the Super Achiever seminars we attended every year. He taught it to hundreds of high-achieving business owners, and his system works.

What I noticed, though, is that complex systems get used inconsistently — even good ones. Many people were struggling with it. So I took what he taught us and rebuilt it. Same framework, simplified and organized into something a real woman with a real life and a real mortgage could open up on a Tuesday morning and actually do.

When our coach saw what I'd made of it, he was excited. He asked me to speak on stage at his biggest event of the year — his December seminar. 400+ people. My biggest fear in life is public speaking. I did it anyway. I did it WELL. And the people who'd been working with his original system finally had a version they could immediately put to use day-to-day.

This guide is that version. The one that actually works for women who don't have hours to study finance and don't want to.

What's inside

The 15-page Financial Freedom Guide gives you:

  • A budget you'll actually live by. Not a spreadsheet you'll abandon in three weeks. A budget that fits the way your life actually works.

  • The "pay yourself first" rule. The single shift that takes you from "there's nothing left at the end of the month" to having your own money.

  • The right savings structure. Most women have one savings account doing five different jobs poorly. I'll show you the structure I use.

  • A debt payoff plan with an actual end date. Not vibes. A number. You'll know what year you're free.

  • The John + Jane case study. Fictional couple with a mortgage, student loan, two car payments, two credit cards. I walk you through their exact path to debt-free in under 10 years — mortgage included — so you can see the math doing what I'm telling you it does.

  • A printable worksheet. Every step laid out. You don't have to think. You just fill it in.

That's the what. Here's the why.

Once you can answer the question "what's in my accounts and what does that mean for my future," the silence breaks. And once the silence breaks, you have a voice.

What women are saying

"For a very long time, I've aspired to follow Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Steps. I never seemed to get past step one and I couldn't understand why. Your Financial Freedom Guide allowed me to see why. I knew 'what' to do but obviously, I didn't know 'how.' Your guide explains the 'how!' Thank you for sharing your experience and your wisdom with others! God bless you!"

— Jennifer, Mississippi

"I've been using your Financial Freedom Guide for only a few months and have already paid off my car. Thank you, this WORKS."

— Alex, California

Why I made this

I grew up in a house where my parents fought about money. All the time. They never learned the tools, and the not-knowing ran the family.

I watched my mom — a woman with no voice inside her marriage — and decided very early that I wasn't going to live that life. I've also watched, over the years, too many of my own girlfriends not even know about their family's finances. Trusting it was fine. Hoping their husband had it together. Not asking. Not knowing.

I'm 54 now. I have my own savings account that I built from this business. I know what's in mine and I know what's in ours.

I want the same thing for every woman I can reach.

This is what I wish someone had handed me when I was 30, and 40, and 47. It's never too late, and it's never too early.

"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is right now."

This guide is for you if...

  • Your husband "handles" the finances and you don't really know what that means

  • You've read enough budget advice to be sick of it, and you still don't have a working system

  • You're approaching or in midlife and the question "would I be okay on my own?" is louder than it used to be

  • You're tired of money being the thing you avoid thinking about

  • You want to be teaching your daughters and daughters-in-law something real before they get old enough to need it themselves

This guide is NOT for you if...

  • You want a complicated wealth-management strategy with derivatives in it (this isn't that)

  • You're looking for someone to do this for you instead of with you (I can hand you the tools, you have to fill in your numbers)

  • You're not actually ready to know what's in your accounts. And that's okay. Come back when you are.

A few things you might be wondering

Is this a Dave Ramsey thing? No. If you've tried Ramsey and felt like he gave you the what but not the how, you'll feel at home here. This guide is the how, made usable for real women with real lives.

Will this work if I'm married and my husband/partner makes the money? Yes...especially then. This guide is built for the woman who isn't the primary earner but wants to fully understand and shape the family's financial picture. You don't need permission to read it. You can decide afterward what you share and when.

Will this work if I'm single, divorced, or widowed? Yes. It works the same. The math doesn't care about your marital status. The only thing that changes is whose numbers you're plugging in.

Is $37 really the price? Yes. The framework inside is worth far more, and I know it. The price is low because I want this guide in as many women's hands as possible. That's the trade I'm choosing.

What do I actually get when I buy? A 15-page PDF guide and a printable worksheet (with the John + Jane worked example so you can see exactly how it works). Both are yours forever once you download them.

Refunds? Because it's a digital download, no refunds. Read this page carefully and make sure it's right for you before you click.

One more thing

If you're reading this and you have a daughter, a niece, a younger friend who's drowning a little...buy it for her too. Or buy it for yourself and walk her through it.

Breaking financial silence in one woman is good. Breaking it across a generation is the work.

Yours in health + happiness, Shannon Taatjes
