It's Day 18 of the Fitness Challenge! I went for a great walk today, just me!! It was nice and cool this morning and it felt great to get my walk in before starting the busy day I had planned! My stepson and I painted his old room and got it all fixed up into a beautiful guest room! It looks fantastic, but I am worn out! So I'm making this quick so I can rest up for my workout tomorrow because painting always makes me sore! Have an awesome night and I'll see you on Day 19!! :) ...I will leave you with this AWESOME billboard pic that my friend sent to me that she saw on the road. It says it all!!!!! ALL billboards should just say this! ...
Fitness Challenge Day 16
It's Day 16 of the Fitness Challenge!! Congrats on getting on the other side of the halfway point!! I was sore today! I pushed during that second set yesterday to get those stats and I can tell!! Is that telling me that I'm not pushing hard enough on my other days??? MAYBE!! This is ONLY a 7 minute workout so we have to make sure we are giving it OUR ALL!! It felt good to FEEL that soreness today!
I went for a long walk today, it felt great!! I hope you're enjoying your walks... I love to walk. It always makes me feel healthy to go for walks... it makes me happy! I absolutely love this quote today.... FANTASTIC. Remember this one...it will help you through this 30 Day Discipline! You're doing great and are well on your way to a healthier, happier YOU!!!
Fitness Challenge Day 15
It's Day 15 of the Fitness Challenge and that means you are HALFWAY DONE with this 30 Day Discipline!! That is so exciting! HALF of my Motivation Post-It's are GONE!! Sometimes it may not seem like you are improving.... but you ARE!! Today being the 15th day.... I had said on the first day that I would be recording my stats on Day 1, Day 15 and on Day 30. This helps to see how much you are improving.
I did two sets today and I had forgotten to record my stats on my first round!! So I did it on my second set, knowing that I may have gotten better numbers on the first set because I was fresh and not as tired yet. So I PUSHED myself on that second set to beat my numbers from the stats on Day 1. Guess what? I blew my Day 1 numbers away!! I was able to do a lot better...even on my 2nd set and that feels great!! Here's my stats so far... I'll list Day 1 first and then today's. (I'm leaving off the isometric exercises because they aren't counted in reps... like "wall sits".)
- Jumping Jacks: 35, 40
- Push Ups: 15, 21
- Crunches: 22, 30
- Chair Step Ups: 13, 15
- Squats: 18, 21
- Tricep Dips: 18, 32
- High Knees: 70, 75
- Lunges: 14, 18
- Push Up Rotations: 7, 10
I hope that you are recording your stats too because that is PROOF that you are improving and getting STRONGER!! That will encourage you and will be the best motivation to KEEP GOING!! You are on the right track... push yourself because NO ONE ELSE is going to do it for you!! Remember, you're trying to beat your numbers from Day 1, you don't need to beat my numbers! I'm showing them to show you how much improvement you can see in just TWO weeks!!
Fitness Challenge Day 15! This is exciting!! Things are changing!! You're doing great!! KEEP IT UP!!
Fitness Challenge Day 14
It's Fitness Challenge Day 14!! I went for a wonderful walk this Saturday morning with my husband and Stella downtown to our favorite coffee spot. It got warm early here today!
Tomorrow officially marks the "halfway" point in this 30 Day Discipline. It's around the middle that people start to lose their steam. It is called a DISCIPLINE for a reason. It's not easy... that's why you grow as a person by doing them. You made a commitment to yourself, remember? You wrote it down, right? Respect yourself enough to honor that commitment and finish this thing! We are just about into the second half of this Fitness Challenge! That's something to be proud of. Get excited... because you will be better, happier, stronger... in more ways than one when you finish!
I love today's quote because it is everything! Your attitude determines your direction in everything you do. Check it, right now, does your attitude need some fine-tuning? If so, YOU are the only one in control of that! FIX IT... so you can start moving in the direction that serves you. ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!!! I know I will... because I have the right attitude!!
Fitness Challenge Day 13
It's Day 13 of the Fitness Challenge! My husband and I had a lot to do today... we had an early morning appointment with our bookkeeper and are also planning some home improvements... so I have estimate appointments lined up the next couple of weeks. We are planning to get our life and home MORE organized by getting "built in's" put in our master closet and in our laundry room! It will be an AMAZING improvement! Exciting stuff, but today was the first day since I started this challenge that I didn't get my workout done early in the day!
I like getting my workouts out of the way so they aren't hanging over my head the rest of the day. But today, I adjusted and had to fit it in this evening! It went great, but I'm definitely a "morning workout" person and plan to keep on that schedule from here on. :) But I took the moment I had for me....and made it perfect. I gave it my all because it's ONLY 7 MINUTES!!
Keep up the great work... I only did one set today because I honestly don't like working out this late in the day! I know, no excuses!! But at least I'm sticking to my commitment, so I'm good with that! I'm looking forward to my walk tomorrow.... the weather has been perfect!
Fitness Challenge Day 12
It's Day 12 of the Fitness Challenge!! Only three more days until I record my stats again and see how I've improved!! That will be the halfway point! I went on a nice long walk today all by myself. I love this fitness challenge... whenever I'm in the midst of a 30 day discipline I feel like I'm accomplishing something and growing. That feels good.
It's always good to be growing as a person. 30 Day Discipline's do this for us. It's kind of like that feeling of having a vacation coming up!! It's always good to have something to look forward to. It helps us from getting complacent and stagnant. It's good for us to be working toward something positive. It keeps us excited about life! No one wants to be stuck in a rut, right? By doing this kind of thing, it "stirs it up"... in a good way!! It makes things shift and change... in a good way!! So, GET EXCITED about what you are accomplishing!! It could just change you enough to want to make other changes for the better!! Who knows, this could be the beginning of something AMAZING!! Keep it up! :-)
