Today, whether you are with me on Day 8.... or you are on DAY ONE of the Fitness Challenge, it doesn't matter. You are on the RIGHT TRACK. I chose this quote today because I really want you to think about that quote. This Fitness Challenge is NOT about competition. It IS about taking a step in the right direction and feeling what that feels like to improve! You don't HAVE to be complacent. You don't HAVE to settle. You don't HAVE to be unhappy. This can actually be applied to any aspect of your life but for today it has to do with self confidence, strength and how we see ourselves.
I used to struggle with this when I was younger. I thought I had to deal with what I was dealt in life. Once I realized this was not the case, it opened all kinds of opportunities to change my life for the better. THIS challenge is a step towards that realization. No one is going to make those changes for you though. That's a tough one for some people. They wait for others to "make them happy". That wait ends up being a long one. Only YOU have the power to make YOU happier! One of the best places to start is with confidence; a feeling of worthiness. We women are extremely hard on ourselves. We need to take the time and learn to love ourselves before we can love anyone else.
For those of you who "get this"... awesome. You are going to love yourselves even more after these 30 days! For those of you who can't quite see what I mean yet... that's okay. Just focus on your daily workouts; do YOUR best. You'll like what you feel after this 30 Day discipline. You WILL be better than you used to be.
Today I went for a nice long walk with my husband. We talked, laughed and enjoyed the warm morning. We discussed all the inspiring things we learned at the seminar yesterday. Happy WifeStyle even got a mention at the seminar, which was an amazing honor... thank you Dr. Baker from New Beginnings Coaching. I am SO incredibly inspired to help others; to teach them what I WISH I would have known sooner; you've helped me have the confidence to believe I can make a difference.
"Stella" stayed home today as it was very warm already...she just can't handle any exercise in the heat. We came home, sat down and had a meeting to discuss the final details of the household budget we have put in place. We had it "scheduled" because it never seems like something fun to discuss and we had to make sure it happened. It was AWESOME. We both feel like we accomplished so much during that little morning meeting! So much so, that we have "scheduled" a meeting just to "check in" with each other about anything we need to discuss each and every Sunday!
Now we are planning to relax by the pool on this beautiful, hot Sunday. Maybe a little BBQin' and a cocktail! Enjoy your Sunday, and remember to make the time for your challenge today... :)
