It is DAY 9 of the Fitness Challenge! I'm feeling good!! I did TWO sets today of the 7 minute workout.... and you know what? Today I felt like quitting after ONE set. It's been pretty hot here and it was already warm this morning when I worked out. But I will never ask YOU to do something that I won't do myself, so I pushed on and did a second set! I was SO glad I did. On the wall squat my legs started to shake a little, burn a little... but that means change is happening! I had worked up a good sweat after that second set! Because you all are making me accountable! So thank you! I was ready for my Green Smoothie afterwards!
I did what "ought to be done" this morning by doing 2 sets. Sometimes if you do something that makes you feel good at the start of the day... it can last with you and set the tone for the rest of your day! All day today, I took THAT thought with me. I remembered this quote...even though I felt like quitting after just one set, I remembered why I started this challenge. I thought of all of you. I did what "ought to be done". As I went through my day today, where maybe at other times I would've procrastinated on something, I did what "ought to be done" and just completed it right then.
Paperwork is my achilles heel. I actually hate it. I hate going through mail and filing and all that stuff. So today, because of how I set the tone for my day...I tackled it and cleared out all that paperwork, completed things I'd been putting off... filed, etc. I did what "ought to be done". I feel like I accomplished something and don't feel that hanging over my head anymore... and it wasn't that hard. Sometimes I forget how much easier it is just to DO something. The THINKING about not wanting to do it, is SO much worse! :) By just remembering that simple saying today... it helped me do the right thing all day! Like I said, you're going to feel better on some days than others... just remember why you started and keep going... you'll be glad you did. Do "what ought to be done"! :)
